It’s estimated that Patmos island has in excess of over 400 churches. Many are private and closed to the public. They are only open during their saint day when a priest comes to perform a liturgy. Usually these small chapels belong to families since many generations and are very dear to them. Often they were built when a family member was miraculously healed.
This interactive map presents the more well-known chapels, churches and monasteries to grace the island.

It would be our great pleasure.
