SUMMARY:3rd Patmos Ecology Festival: “Trees bring the rain”: Wednesday November 27th to Monday December 1st, 2024/Τετάρτη 27 Νοεμβρίου έως Δευτέρα 1 Δεκεμβρίου, θα πραγματοποιηθεί το 3ο Φεστιβάλ Οικολογίας Πάτμου με θέμα ‘’Τα δέντρα φέρνουν τη βροχή’’.
DESCRIPTION:\nWednesday November 27th to Monday December 1st , the 3rd Patmos Ecology Festival will take place with the theme “Trees bring the rain”.\nFaithful to our annual appointment for a week dedicated to the effort to activate and develop the ecological consciousness of adults and children in Patmos, we are meeting again this year and dedicating a common effort to moving forward with the main annual reforestation work on the hill of three hundred acres of Kouma , just before it begins (according to ‘ wish) the rainy season.\n \nThe theme of this year’s festival was of course not chosen by chance. The prolonged drought we experienced this year made us understand that climate change is not something vague that will happen in the future, but something tangible, the effects of which we are already experiencing in a real way. At the same time he brought us before our responsibilities:\nThe rain does not fall for people’s crops, tanks, laundries, drains, factories, swimming pools. The rain falls to nourish the life of the trees that form the forests, which in turn are the home of the innumerable, free creatures that inhabit this Earth, while the forests were once man’s first home. And without forests, we will have no rain.\n \nΤετάρτη 27 Νοεμβρίου έως Δευτέρα 1 Δεκεμβρίου, θα πραγματοποιηθεί το 3ο Φεστιβάλ Οικολογίας Πάτμου με θέμα ‘’Τα δέντρα φέρνουν τη βροχή’’.\n \nΠιστοί στο ετήσιο ραντεβού μας για μία εβδομάδα αφιερωμένη στην προσπάθεια ενεργοποίησης και ανάπτυξης της οικολογικής συνείδησης μεγάλων και μικρών στην Πάτμο, συναντιόμαστε ξανά και φέτος και αφιερώνουμε κοινό μόχθο προχωρώντας με τις κύριες ετήσιες εργασίες αναδάσωσης στο λόφο τριακοσίων στρεμμάτων του Κουμά, λίγο πριν ξεκινήσει (κατ’ ευχήν) η βροχερή περίοδος.\n \nΤο θέμα του φετινού φεστιβάλ δεν επιλέχθηκε φυσικά τυχαία. Η παρατεταμένη ανομβρία που βιώσαμε φέτος, μας έδωσε να καταλάβουμε ότι η κλιματική αλλαγή δεν είναι κάτι αόριστο που θα συμβεί στο μέλλον, αλλά κάτι χειροπιαστό, του οποίου τα αποτελέσματα βιώνουμε ήδη με τρόπο πραγματικό. Ταυτόχρονα μας έφερε ενώπιον των ευθυνών μας:\nΗ βροχή δεν πέφτει για τις καλλιέργειες, τις δεξαμενές, τα πλυντήρια, τις αποχετεύσεις, τα εργοστάσια, τις πισίνες των ανθρώπων. Η βροχή πέφτει για να τροφοδοτήσει τη ζωή των δέντρων που σχηματίζουν τα δάση, τα οποία με τη σειρά τους είναι το σπίτι των αναρίθμητων, ελεύθερων πλασμάτων, που κατοικούν αυτή τη Γη, ενώ τα δάση ήταν κάποτε και το πρώτο σπίτι του ανθρώπου. Και χωρίς δάση, δεν θα έχουμε βροχή.\n \n
